Yemen’s Currency Market Shows Different Exchange Rates in Sana’a and Aden

On 29 October, the Yemen Economic Tracking Initiative reported unofficial exchange rates of YER 533 per US dollar for old banknotes in Sana’a and YER 1,580 per US dollar for new banknotes in Aden. These figures highlight the continuing difference between the two currency markets and the importance of monitoring exchange-rate exposure; they are reported market rates, not official bank transaction prices or a new financial deal. Banks, exchange companies and financial advisers can explore currency-risk monitoring, financial forecasting and market analytics. HPC can support financial modelling and data-processing systems; contact HPC for a quotation based on your requirements.
