Morocco’s Draft Budget Targets Youth Employment and Income-Tax Relief

On 23 October, Reuters reported that Morocco’s draft 2027 budget included MAD 62 billion, approximately US$6.3 billion, for social measures, including youth employment and assistance for vulnerable households. The proposal also includes income-tax exemption for employees earning less than MAD 10,000 per month, potentially benefiting around 87% of employees.
